The Make Up system is a method to deal with the busy requirements of the Rotary member given the daily requirements of work, home and family. Rotary recognises that members have an increasingly busy lifestyle and the priorities often change and so to accommodate members attendance requirements Rotary devised the Make Up system.

Makes ups assist members in fulfilling attendance requirements and are a method of dealing with the contingency’s of daily life where family or business commitments do no allow for attendance at the weekly meeting.

There are two methods to Make Up:

• 1. Attend a meeting at another club that is meeting at a time that is more convenient in the circumstance.
  • You are encouraged to show the club flag, meet more Rotarians and spread your fellowship
  • Even on holidays or business trips there is a Rotary club that would be delighted to meet you at their meeting
• 2. Attend or participate in a  Rotary Event or designated program:
  • The event must one that the board decides merits a make-up status
  • It is part of another avenue of service attending district committees and events and functions
  • Another method of expanding your Rotary involvement
