Members are reminded that the Christmas in July joint Cluster meeting with Melbourne South is featuring Rotarian Glenda Sherwin-Lane to talk about the magnificent work carried our by Interplast. This is a very RCPM occasion and as it will be held at RCPM member Geri’s Montague School and catered by RCPM member Grant’s Choice Catering & Hire, South Melbourne.
Our Speaker, a Rotarian of seventeen years, Glenda thought she knew all about Interplast – until she joined the staff as Rotarian Coordinator.
Three years later, including two missions to Fiji, she has a profound respect for the achievements of the Interplast surgical volunteers and a passionate desire for all Rotarians to become aware of this amazing program started at a kitchen table by Rotarians in District 980 thirty years ago.
Now a Rotarian of twenty years with roles at Club and District level, Glenda is very conscious that there are many projects which ask for financial support from her fellow Rotarians.
Her presentation will show you why the work of Interplast must continue and continue to expand.
